OKAY, SO GIVE US THE BASICS !
"ER, HELLO THERE. I AM JOSEPH JAY WALKER BUT YOU CAN JUST CALL ME Joey or JJ. I HAVE BEEN WREAKING HAVOC FOR 17 YEARS AND I DON'T REALLY PLAN ON STOPPING SOON. I GRACED THIS WORLD WITH MY PRESENCE ON November 15, 1958. I BRANDISH A Yew, Kraken heartstring, 10 3/4 inches WAND, I KNOW YOU ARE JEALOUS. I AM IN THE HOUSE OF Hufflepuff, 7th year, AND DAMN PROUD. I WAS BORN WITH pureblood, NOT THAT IT REALLY MATTERS. SO YEAH, ARE WE DONE?"
SORRY, NOT QUITE. SO WHAT ARE AND AREN'T YOU INTO ?
"What am I into eh? And what I'm not into? Well this may take a while so I'd say hold onto your hats ladies and gents. My favorite thing is a good time, but not just any good time, it has to be a good time with friends. In true Hufflepuff fashion I'm what you would call 'social', not that I have any particular fondness for the word . . . perhaps gregarious or convivial are more appropriate. I like words, big and small, and I happen to think that the muggle dictionary is a lovely invention. I like words so much that you'll probably catch me saying the same thing three different times when I'm trying to get a point across. Like I was saying, I enjoy the company of others and am prone to feeling rather uninspired when left to my own devices.
Let's see, I like girls! I especially like the sassy ones, the ones who are desperately trying not to give me the time of day. I think I enjoy the chase more than anything else; I've yet to find a girl who can keep my attention for more than a day or so. I don't mean to be cocky about that, because in all likelihood I can't keep a girl's attention either. I'm no Sirius Black, but I think I'm handsome and charming enough. Besides, I'd probably be stupid enough to find all that constant attention from women annoying.
I enjoy Hogwarts and magic, but I'll pass on the Quidditch. It's something about all that competitive nature business that completely turns me off to it. I'd much rather fly around Hogwarts on my own without getting bludgeoned to death (get it?! eh eh?). I like the sunshine, but the rain doesn't get me down, weather is a wonderful thing. Flying is best when there is a light rain coming down, it's incredibly refreshing.
You know, it's rather hard to think of things that you don't like when you're thinking of things you like. I don't like meat, I never eat the stuff. I decided I was a vegetarian when I was about 10 years old and it's not because I'm some animal rights activist (although I can agree with a lot of their points on the subject), it's because I simply don't like the taste of meat.
What else. . Hmmm . . . I don't like feeling as if I'm not in control of my life, I hate leaving things up to fate even when it feels like it may be appropriate to do so. I don't like when professors insist on spending the day lecturing on a subject, this is magic school, half the things we do are hands on activities. This may be why I don't have a taste for History of Magic; there is barely anything you can do in that class except listen. I'm sure I could put a lot more here, but you must be bored to tears already! "
HOW ER... INTERESTING. EVER LOOKED INTO THE MIRROR OF ERISED ?
"Unlike most people my age, I have no idea what I want to be, where I want to be or who I want to be. I have a whole year left to figure that out. However, I am tempted to follow in the footsteps of my father and become and Auror. If that works out, then I see myself married with two or three kids. What I'd really like to be is a good person, no matter what I end up doing. I've heard this is a common goal and one that is not hard to achieve if you stand by your own morals and ideals. I'm pretty good at that, standing by my morals, so this good person business shouldn't be too hard."
WHAT MAKES YOU SHAKE IN YOUR BOOTS ?
"You know, you may call me a girl for saying this, but I absolutely hate spiders. They're creepy and crawly and just generally terrifying. If I see one I will not hesitate to crush it, which is something that the ladies seem to appreciate. Just thinking about them I'm getting all weirded out! Aside from spiders I'm scared of small, dark spaces because there may be spiders lurking in there. I'm also afraid of being beaten to death by a rogue bludger. Don't judge me. "
EVEN YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME GOOD QUALITIES, RIGHT ?
"Who doesn't? I'm handsome, fun, clever, caring, awesome and modest. Seriously though, I have the loyalty of a Gryffindor and I'm as clever as your average Slytherin. I believe I ended up in Hufflepuff because truly you couldn't place me anywhere else. While I may have my bad qualities, which I see is the subject of your next question; I believe that my good qualities balance them out rather well. I try my best to see all sides of every situation and I notice a bright personality before I notice appearances. I'm accepting of everyone and I try my very best to not be rude, even to those who are rude to me. So Slytherins beware because I'll kill you with kindness . I'd like to think that I'm of reasonable intelligence, but I've been told that what I lack in book smarts I make up for in people skills. I took it was a compliment, what other way would I take it? "
AND IT'S QUITE OBVIOUS YOU HAVE YOUR BAD, HUH ?
"I may not always be the most polite person in the room, even though I try to be. When I'm angry, frustrated or upset I have the mouth of a sailor. Some people find it amusing, but I myself think that it's a terrible thing. For all the time I spend learning new words, when I'm angry the only word I can think of is "fuck", how unfortunate. I'm not always modest and I may annoy you because it seems like I'm bragging. I assure you, if I'm bragging it's unintentional. Ok, sometimes it isn't."
LET'S GET DIRTY. WHAT TURNS YOU ON ?
"This should be fun. Like I said, I like a sassy girl. Intelligence is a must; I can't stand trying to have a conversation with a perfumed, ditzy, vegetable. I don't mind a girl that's easy on the eyes, but what matters most to me is confidence. If you're walking around with your eyes on the ground, then you're probably lacking in he confidence department. I've got no problem with a shy girl, but I'm not going to work too hard to break you out of your shell unless you make it worth my while. Flash me a smile, flirt a little, show me you’re interested and odds are I'll be interested too. What I really want is someone engaging, who will make me believe that if I'm not with them I'm missing out on the best thing that ever happened to me. Maybe that's asking for too much from someone and maybe that's why none of my relationships last very long. I must mention that I won't be with anyone who is gossipy, rude or has no tolerance for others, all three things are huge turn offs for me."
DO YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY ?
"It's really not hard to love my mother and father, they are the most generous and loving people I have ever known. It sounds kind of sappy, but they've given me a lot and I'm very thankful for them both. At times they can be over-protective and have trouble giving me my personal space, but most parents can be that way. I'm their first born child, so I suppose they've had a bit of trouble recognizing that I'm growing up. As for the rest of my family, I have a younger sister who is very much like me and a younger brother who is the complete opposite of me. Of course I love them both, even if I find them incredibly annoying. My sister ended up in Hufflepuff, like myself, so I have a sense of pride when it comes to her. I also take on the role of over-protective brother when it comes to boys who want to date her. My brother is in Slytherin and for the life of me I can't understand why he hangs out with the crowd he does. It's a bit disappointing to see him running about flaunting his pure blood status, but hopefully it's a phase he'll grow out of. We're a relatively normal family, my mother is a Healer at St. Mugnos and my father works for the ministry as an Auror. I guess that doesn't make us entirely normal because I know that not everyone attempts to take on professions such as those, but I can't think of anything that would make us stand out. "
WHERE YA FROM, BY THE WAY ?
"My family lives in a pleasant, quiet house in Wimbourne, Dorset, England. Our home is bright, sunny and square. It's of a decent size, three stories high, with ample room for all five members of my family. My brother and I have rooms on the second floor, right across from one another, along with my parents whose bedroom is right down the hall. On the third floor is my sister's bedroom, providing her the privacy that she often rants and raves about. The kitchen is small compared to our rather large dining room, where in the summers we share our family meals. We have a cozy fireplace near the study, which is located on the first floor of the house. This is where I like to spend my time reading when I am home for the winter holidays. Our back yard is filled with all kind of plants and flowers that my mother pays special attention to because she is an avid fan of all things related to Herbology. Our community is home to the Wimbourne Wasps and every home has some sort of flag or decoration out front supporting them. "
THE DEMENTORS ARE HERE. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ?
"My grandfather and my dog both died on the same day. I was only 8 years old and I didn't really completely understand death. So, when I saw my grandfather lying in the casket I was scared and confused. I tried to talk to him and I held his hand, but he wouldn't answer and his hand was cold. All I could do was cry. When I came home, still upset, my parents found my dog lying motionless in his bed. I'm not afraid of death, I know that it’s inevitable, but that was the absolute worst day of my life. Can we move on?"
BETTER GET UP A PATRONUS. WHAT ARE YOU REMEMBERING ?
"I remember how proud I was when my sister took her first steps into Hogwarts. I wanted to show her everything magical I had learned, I wanted to show her the school and introduce her to everyone. I was only a year ahead of her, so I had the same giddy excitement for her first year that I had for my own. At home I had wanted desperately to show her magic, but I knew the consequences. As much as I love my sister, I think what excited me the most was being able to teach someone something. I love the feeling of sharing my knowledge with someone else and the pride I get when I know someone has learned because of me. "

When Anthony had awakened that morning something had felt different, he felt different. He had the sudden urge to be outside, to not waste a single minute in the stale air of his dormitory. He was determined to not make any excuses for himself, like he usually did when he had schoolwork or was overcome with laziness. So, he dressed himself quickly and grabbed a few things to keep him occupied for when he ventured outside. Anthony couldn't go anywhere without a good book and if the mood struck he made sure that he had his guitar, quills and parchment.
He kept his head low as he walked down the stairs into his common room and eventually out of Hogwart's walls and onto the grounds. He searched the area for a nice, shady tree to sit underneath. The day was warm, just warm enough that Anthony would appreciate the breeze and cool shade that the perfect tree would give him. When he finally found it he smiled, it was large with plenty of branches and leaves that hung over until they almost touched the ground. He found a spot underneath it where a beam of sunlight shined through, but he was still covered by it's shade. For a moment he contemplated what he'd like to do, read or play the guitar, but when he took a look around and gazed at how large the castle was he felt inspired and decided to get out his guitar.
Anthony appreciated muggle music, it was something he had discovered on his own and was seemingly hard to come by for someone as pure blooded as himself. He was raised in a wizarding community and had little contact with muggles until he was old enough to explore places on his own. His favorite past time at home was to visit a muggle coffee shop and listen to all kinds of muggle music. His favorites were older songs about love, heartbreak and just living life. As different as he sometimes felt for being a wizard, he felt connected to muggles because they were all people just trying to figure themselves and life out.
He strummed a few chords to a song before improvising and coming up with something of his own. His left hand gripped the neck and gracefully formed chord after chord, while his right hand strummed a soft rhythm. He hummed to himself, almost staring off into space as he played. The music was taking over his mind and he was concentrating on nothing but playing the next chord in his new song.
