*The Practice Of Prediction*
The wizarding world has always had to deal with Dark Lords and creature uprisings, and always they seem to pull out ahead. Their present may be foggy, but the sun is just behind the mist; everything will be okay in the end. After all, the Dark Lord just fell and people are free from the constant fear that had plagued them during his reign. Wizarding folk are breathing a collected sigh fo relief.
Now it's time to take a plunge. Because now it isn't one of their own they have to worry about - not an evil warlock bent on power and glory. This time it's the muggles. And not all the memory charms in the world could get rid of the knowledge now spreading across the globe. And what is this breaking news? Magic is real. Wizards exist. And most importantly, they could be your next door neighbor.
With the growing tidal wave of information, the muggles have begun to grow scared. What is to keep the wizards from killing them all? Or torturing them? Or enslaving them? Rumours and whispers of a hundred horrible futures are released like poison into the air. Now the magical community is faced with defending their people and disproving the muggles' wild theories - a difficult task because of the conflicting goals. After all, how do you defend yourself without causing harm to another? If they refuse to use magic, they are taken, imprisoned, and sometimes put to death. And if they use magic to escape, it only fortifies the world's opinion of them.
It's present day and the witch hunts have just begun. Will you burn?
