OKAY, SO GIVE US THE BASICS !
"ER, HELLO THERE. I AM BELLATRIX FENNELLA BLACK BUT YOU CAN JUST CALL ME BELLA. I HAVE BEEN WREAKING HAVOC FOR FIFTEEN YEARS AND I DON'T REALLY PLAN ON STOPPING SOON. I GRACED THIS WORLD WITH MY PRESENCE ON DECEMBER 6TH. I BRANDISH A WALNUT, 12 3/4 INCHES, DRAGON HEARTSTRING WAND, I KNOW YOU ARE JEALOUS. I AM IN THE HOUSE OF SLYTHERIN, FIFTH YEAR, AND DAMN PROUD. I WAS BORN WITH PURE BLOOD, NOT THAT IT REALLY MATTERS. SO YEAH, ARE WE DONE?"
SORRY, NOT QUITE. SO WHAT ARE AND AREN'T YOU INTO ?
"you know, 'like' is such a broad category. because, if you really think about it, what does it really mean? there are things that I enjoy doing, and there are things that I don't dislike. what can I say? I guess one thing that I "like" is analyzing things more than they really ought to be analyzed. Quidditch? I do prefer to watch rather than participate. my true forte, however, is dueling. it's something that I know for a fact that I'm quite excellent at, and it's magnificent fun. The feeling of being superior. The adrenaline, the exhilaration of fighting purely to win. My sisters, 'Dromeda and Cissy, are quite dear to my heart, though I'm not exactly known for how loving I can be. Therefore, I don't run around proclaiming it in the hallways. I have my small, exclusive group of friends, with whom I spend any and all of my time. that's pretty much my social life. As for schoolwork, I do prefer Defense Against the Dark Arts to any of the other subjects. Why? Simply because that is where I learn all of my best dueling moves.
The things that I don't like? Mudbloods, first and foremost. How they can ever even consider letting that filth into a school with purebloods, such as myself, is completely beyond me.Thank Merlin that Slytherin won't allow them into our house. I think I'd die if I had to share a common room with one of them. I also hate a lack of chivalry in a man. That seems to be one thing that is dead in today's society: well-brought-up young males. It's a pity, really. Most of these pigheads are just so good looking. I also don't enjoy being around unattractive people. it's just not something I do. "
HOW ER... INTERESTING. EVER LOOKED INTO THE MIRROR OF ERISED ?
"well, I know that I want to make something of myself. People should know my name. I could be famous! or maybe even infamous, who knows?"
WHAT MAKES YOU SHAKE IN YOUR BOOTS ?
"Well, I've never been partial to spiders, and if you tell anyone, I'll hex you into next semester. my stupid cousins used to throw them at me when I was little, and it just sort of scarred me for life. Slightly different from the spider thing is my issue with Dementors. I think I'd die if I ever got extremely close to one. I've been in the general vicinity of one before, and that's something I don't ever want to do again. Besides, who would WANT to be anywhere near something that could suck your soul out? But worst of all, I'm terrified of dying. I don't believe in anything after life, unless you take the coward's way out and come back as a ghost. I'm just not comfortable at all with the idea of just ceasing to exist. "
EVEN YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME GOOD QUALITIES, RIGHT ?
"not to brag or anything, but I happen to know that I'm a good duelist, and I definitely want to become a truly great one. I know that I'm smart. Some people who don't know me may beg to differ, and I say that they can go to hell. I know that I'm not stupid. I've got top marks in everything except Herbology, and I'm working on that! I've been called "devious", which I take as a compliment. it takes quite a bit of brainpower to be truly devious."
AND IT'S QUITE OBVIOUS YOU HAVE YOUR BAD, HUH ?
"well, when it comes to Herbology, I think it's safe to say that I suck royal hippogriff. I am working on pulling that grade up, though! I'm super judgemental, but I do believe that it's an essential part of being me. I wouldn't be the same if I didn't judge the shit out of people. That's another thing, according to most everyone, I've got the mouth of a drunken sailor. not something you hear about most fifth-years, is it?"
LET'S GET DIRTY. WHAT TURNS YOU ON ?
"you actually expect me to answer this? fine, I'll humour you. I appreciate men for what they are. I don't think that chivalry is dead, and I don't think that males should act like it is. after all, they should do something to get me to notice their existence. While I am hung up on that, I care a lot about physical attraction. In fact, that's fifty percent for me. Pureblood, of course, but that's a minor detail."
DO YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY ?
"My parents? well, I don't hate them. in fact, I don't see them much. they're always doing some important something or other. Cygnus and Druella Black, my parents, never have too much time for us. so guess who got to help raise her two littler sisters? exactly. Speaking of my sisters, I happen to love Narcissa and Andromeda. Very much. They're the family that I spend all my time with, after all. Just don't tell everyone. I like to play the annoyed older sister. My cousins, Sirius and Regulus are two individuals that I don't particularly care for. At least Regulus didn't land himself in Gryffindor like Sirius did. It's a shame, really."
WHERE YA FROM, BY THE WAY ?
"England, of course! With the money that my family has, You'd think that we'd be able to just buy a mansion and get it done with. but, no. we move around quite a bit. My sisters and I have spent a year or so at number twelve, Grimmauld Place, which is where Sirius and Regulus live. it's kind of a pain in the ass to have them around, but it's a place to stay while mum and dad are looking for some exciting new place to spend a few months."
THE DEMENTORS ARE HERE. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ?
"well, there was the time my idiot cousin, Sirius, locked me in a trunk for a few good hours. I was seven, and he kept banging on the top. I'm telling you, he was a mean little kid."
BETTER GET UP A PATRONUS. WHAT ARE YOU REMEMBERING ?
"definitley winning my first duel. That is, by far, one of the greatest moments of my life. yes, I was twelve, but it's something that I'm planning on sticking with. Talk about adrenaline!"

Gracie dropped the strap, letting it snap back against the trunk with a thud. She sighed, pressing her hands against her hips and arching her back backwards in to a stretch. She would need a house elf. She only hoped that she wouldn’t have to traipse all the way down to the kitchen to find one. As luck would have it, she spotted one making up the beds through the open door of the first year bedroom only two doors down from the third year bedroom. Gracie hung embarrassedly on the frame of the door, watching the little elf do up the maroon sheets with incredible precision. She just hated to interrupt its work. She cleared her throat to get the attention of the little creature. This was one she did not know by name or even face, like she did Gloober Shnokens. Perhaps a holiday worker hired to catch up on tidying the palace while most students were away. “Ahem, could you help me with my trunk perchance?” she inquired politely.
The house elf obliged, not like it had much other choice not having been given clothes. Gracie trudged down the palace stairs behind the creature who cratered under the weight of her trunk, but somehow chugged ahead. Gracie admired its perseverance. “Just set it outside the dining hall, please,” she requested. She was to meet her sister Delilah for an early lunch and then they would head home through the Dining Chamber fireplace. The Floo Network was just so busy in the days, even weeks, leading up to Christmas that their parents had agreed that it would be better if the girls waited till Christmas day to make the journey to Guildford. The last two years their father Gregoire had made the trek himself here to accompany the girls on their way home, but this year Gracie had convinced her parents that she could handle it just fine. She was thirteen years old and a womyn as of late August, after all! She peeked in to the dining hall, but did not spot her sister’s dirty blonde locks inside yet. She turned back to the house elf who was busy pushing the loaded trunk properly up against a wall. “Oh! Oh! I can get that!” she exclaimed, feeling slightly guilty for all the trouble she had put the little guy through. She bent over and, with a small heave, pushed the trunk up out of the way of the few students milling about in the Entrance Hall. “Thank so much!” she turned to tell the little helper, but he was already scampering up the steps back up to the Chittamwood dormitories. “Merry Christmas” she called out, cupping a hand to the side of her mouth to elongate the sound. Well, then. She dusted her hands on the front of her pants and exhaled a satisfied breath. She grinned. It was Christmas!
She swung the loose end of her black scarf that she wore over her simple off-white turtle neck over her shoulder. She dug in her pocket for a pair of earrings she had forgotten to put on while up in her dormitory. The red and green jingle bell earrings jangled loudly as she pushed them through the holes in her ears. She had such holiday spirit! She trotted happily in to the dining chamber, taking a spot at an empty table near the door so Delilah wouldn’t have to search too much to find her when she arrived. Their half-sister Anna had gone to visit her mum for a few days, but would join them at their dad’s house this evening. She scooped up five pieces of leftover fruitcake on to her plate. If she didn’t eat them now they would probably still be serving them when they returned from winter break, and they’d be moldy by then. Cutting a piece and then spearing it with her fork and putting it in to her mouth, Gracie sucked contentedly on a little candied fruit piece buried in all the bready cake.
