all right, so. it's rather obvious that there's been a... uhhh... slump in activity lately, so.
okay, slump is putting it nicely. there has been NO activity on here, and i just wanted
to know why that was the case? what's holding people up? is there no interest in the
site anymore? should i just close it down or hope that some day someone's going to
post something..? i need to know what's up with everyone so i can judge whether or
not to just shut WYWG down due to lack of activity. because it's kind of disappointing
to come onto my site day in and day out and see that nothing at all is happening, and
if that's going to be the case i'm just going to put it in maintenance mode and leave it
at that. so yeah, if you guys could just respond to this thread and tell me what's going
on or what you think i should do - whether it's shut the site down completely, or maybe
you have an idea how i can get activity back up - your feedback would be appreciated.

Well, like I told you before in the c-box, I'm the last post in all five of my threads. If other people came back/posted, I'd be more than willing to write more! :-D But since everything died, I didn't want to just open four new threads just to have them sit there, so... I didn't. I am in the middle of making a new character, though. :-p So if the site does come back, there'll be another sixth year Griffy girl! <3

ANYWAY, I don't know. I guess wait and see what the other people on here say, then. I'd be sad to see it go into maintenance mode, that's for sure, but I totally get your reasoning. No one wants to come back over and over and not find anything updated. Can't fault you for that!

Well, I was gone for 2 weeks for holiday purposes and when I came back I noticed that there had been 3 people online in the past 24 hours. That's crap. So, I waited to see if more people were still around, because I'm not going to put effort and time into posting if there's no one around and the site's gonna close or just die. Its a new site. The chances are it was going to die anyway. Anyway, I checked every day to see what the activity was like and there were days when the only name in the "online in the past 24 hours" bit was mine. That's really bad.

No one is going to join a dead site, and it always feels like a site is dead because no one new joins. It's a catch-22. We could try having a few of us... even us 3 or something... PROMISE that we'll stay active at least for a little while, and just get on with it an post. Maybe the activity will attract new members and more activity.

Personally, I think vacations really didn't help this matter. A bunch of us went away or had reasons that we couldn't be on, and after that it just seems like laziness once we returned.

I'm with Erica in the boat that I'm the last and or only poster in the two threads I was involved in, I tried to make a new post hoping to draw someone into it . . .but that didn't work.

I really don't want the site to die, I was VERY excited about it!
Perhaps a massive e-mail is in order (if that's possible?)? Maybe try an idea like a dance or something like that to draw people in. I don't want to suggest anything too drastic, like lowering standards . .because part of what makes this a great board is that we don't have a bunch of one line posts that are not at all engaging. . . or maybe we could lie a little hahaha throw some house points up . .some spotlights, pretend that this is just a brand new term instead of a brand new site and do some major advertising from there.
I used to be on msn boards that were really popular . .you could make something from there and link it to here? Just some suggestions, I'm full of them once I get going!

Well, I've been really stress out lately because I still don't have a job and the further into the summer it gets the more stress out I get so that's been draining me of motivation and inspiration. Plus, I started my summer class and even though it's an online course, I have 3 assignments due each week and an exam. And I've been working on my costume for the Harry Potter movie. I'm updated in all my threads except for one, and that's because I was dumb and didn't realize for the longest time that Erica had replied, then when I was about 75% done with my reply my computer shut off and I just haven't had the motivation to re-write it. I'm going to be very busy over the next few days with finishing Biology assignments early because I'll be in Reading for most of next week (Can't wait! I'm considering that my only vacation this summer). Maybe after we all see the HP movie we'll be more motivated? I really don't want this site to die because I'm finally RPing as my favorite character of all time and I don't want to loose that!

Also, when school starts, I can't promise I'll be very active because I expect a very heavy work load, on top of (hopefully) having an on campus job, being involved in the school theater company, and getting all my study aboard stuff sorted out. But, I will try for the sake of Sirius!

I've been sick as of late (totally took me out for a couple of weeks, that sucked) and then I had to go back to school... and very recently, my mum took one of our pets to the vet and had him put down because he was very sick.

So yeah, life hasn't been too good recently. Also, next term is my HSC so though I can't promise that I'll be posting every day during the next few months, I'll at least get a few posts in when I'm not stressed up to my eyeballs ^^

I'm working on a reply to my one thread now (so sorry for the delay Elle) and this site's my main focus because one of my friends has gone and closed his site, because of the 'slump' in activity there too. I dun wanna see this site close too, so I promise to keep up on my posts and post random new threads for peoples to join too ^^

Maybe have an event or something to get activity up? Like... have a mini plot where the entire school gets accidentally roped into something? I dunno, I'm me and I'm odd >> so yeah.. just a random suggestion.
