OKAY, SO GIVE US THE BASICS !

SORRY, NOT QUITE. SO WHAT ARE AND AREN'T YOU INTO ?

"I like my friends, first and foremost. I think I was lucky in that I found the best group of three people out there and they decided I was an okay guy. I don't know many people who would do for me what they've done for me, so... I'm definitely lucky. I like school, however lame that sounds. Especially Defense Against the Dark Arts class. It's just something I excel in. I guess if everyone applied themselves like I do - maybe to keep my mind off other things - they'd do as well as I do in lessons. Just a theory. I like a good book, despite the teasing I get from certain people when I read outside the curriculum. Uhm, what else. I like good weather, good company, laughing, some mischief... watching Quidditch, breaking some rules, escaping getting caught, talking my friends out of getting disciplined, which I think I've done on around a million occasions... The list goes on and on.

I think my list for things I don't like is a lot longer than what I do like, however depressing that is. But I'm not going to go too far into detail. I dislike my disease, the full moon, the possibility of me hurting the people I love. I dislike the fact that Sirius and James can sometimes be unforgivably cruel and I dislike the fact that I've never done anything to stop them. I dislike that I like so much to be liked, to the point that sometimes I get taken advantage of - but when someone's in my situation, he takes all the chances at friendship he can get. Because when the truth comes out I'm sure a majority of them are going to disappear."

HOW ER... INTERESTING. EVER LOOKED INTO THE MIRROR OF ERISED ?

"Right now my goal is to graduate Hogwarts without losing a limb or permanently damaging myself with one of our pranks. And I would also like not to be expelled. Beyond that I honestly don't know. I've been thinking about it, but it just makes my head hurt. What can I possibly do in my life..? What's all this studying for anyway. What am I preparing myself for in the future, because when I look ahead? I don't see much of anything worthwhile. Not with the disease I have."

WHAT MAKES YOU SHAKE IN YOUR BOOTS ?

"I'm afraid of being alone. There are a few people who have shown me that being a werewolf doesn't mean I have to be an outcast, but I rarely think that positively, at least on the inside. Not everyone's going to be a Dumbledore, a Sirius or James or Peter. Not everyone's going to be so accepting. I guess with them around I don't have to worry about being alone, but... it's still there, in the back of my mind. My biggest fear is that I'll hurt someone... I honestly don't think I'd be able to live with myself if I changed and attacked someone, especially someone I love. Like one of the Marauders - imagine if I bit or scratched or even killed one of them. Imagine if I infected someone. I would never, ever forgive myself. It's scary, not having control of myself all the time. I'm afraid that one of these days that's going to lead to more pain than I've ever felt before."

EVEN YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME GOOD QUALITIES, RIGHT ?

"Well, I'm really loyal. I'd do absolutely anything for my best friends, and I'm sure they'd do the same for me, which is a good feeling. What else. Uhm, I suppose my intelligence is a strength, but like I said. It's a good distraction to do well in lessons. I have a good sense of humor, which is sort of essential considering my best friends. Even so, I try to make light of a lot of things, even though I'm not entirely good at it all the time. I'm a very sympathetic and empathetic person. Every time James or Sirius opens his mouth to make fun of another person, I get this sort of constriction in my chest... Sort of like I know I should say something to them, I want to... But something stops me. I guess that's not a strength, but eh. I can be a charmer, really, but that's very much overshadowed by the charm James and Sirius practically ooze. I'm good at talking, and I have to be, especially having the friends I do. As in I've had to get us out of many a situation in which we are breaking rules and someone is trying to get us in trouble. That's probably my most useful strength as of right now. Other than those, I'm not sure of any."

AND IT'S QUITE OBVIOUS YOU HAVE YOUR BAD, HUH ?

"Quite obvious indeed. First I have this disease. This lycanthropy. It's not like it's my fault I have it, but it's there, and it's my biggest weakness. I'm a bit of a pushover... I make it easy for people to walk all over me, really, but I don't like it when someone dislike me. I really can't stand it. So maybe that gives people the opportunity to take advantage, but it's for a good reason. Right? People that know me really well would probably point out that self-doubt is a big weakness of mine. I just don't have that confidence that some people do, that assuredness in themselves that makes them, quite honestly, entirely appealing. I'm just... not entirely clear about who I am, I guess. I'll probably never be."

"Oh, uhm. I don't know... I guess a cute face and brains. But brains is more important. I especially like girls who, you know... don't have a mean bone in their bodies, I guess. The kind who are accepting of everyone and everything. Do those sort of people exist? I think maybe I'm just being too hopeful and painting a picture of someone who can't be real. Uhm. Next question please."

DO YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY ?

"I definitely love my family. Having a kid like me can't be the easiest thing in the world, but they're amazing about it. They love me for who I am, for the most part. Although sometimes I can't help but notice certain looks my mother gives me. Maybe I'm paranoid, but... I think those looks are there. And my father, he's so protective of me. It's because he blames himself for what happened. My mother's protective, too, but I think she worries about other people more than she worries about me. Which is understandable. I'm the same way. I have a good relationship with both parents, especially considering what we've been through as a family. I'm lucky in that regard."

WHERE YA FROM, BY THE WAY ?

"My family moved from London to East Dereham, Norwich once I was bitten. Less chance of me hurting someone there, especially since we moved to a house with no neighbors miles and miles down the road in both ways."

THE DEMENTORS ARE HERE. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ?

"It's a combination of when I was attacked by Greyback and my first transformation. I can tell you which was more painful - the transformation. But the attack itself was so frightening that I still dream about it. Almost nightly. The changes I've gotten more used to, yeah, even though they're still really painful. I don't know. I don't like to think about it more than I have to."

BETTER GET UP A PATRONUS. WHAT ARE YOU REMEMBERING ?

"Easily when I met the other Marauders. It's like we were meant to be best friends. We all just fit together somehow. I think it's the first time in my life I've ever felt really accepted. Especially when they figured out themselves that I was a werewolf... and instead of dropping me they decided they were going to help me. I've never been more happy in my life. I don't know what I'd do without them."
