OKAY, SO GIVE US THE BASICS !
"ER, HELLO THERE. I AM DANTE VICTOR ASHWIND BUT YOU CAN JUST CALL ME DANNY. I HAVE BEEN WREAKING HAVOC FOR 14 YEARS AND I DON'T REALLY PLAN ON STOPPING SOON. I GRACED THIS WORLD WITH MY PRESENCE ON BIRTHDAY. I BRANDISH A ASHWOOD, 13½ INCHES, PHOENIX FEATHER WAND, I KNOW YOU ARE JEALOUS. I AM IN THE HOUSE OF RAVENCLAW, 5TH YEAR, AND DAMN PROUD. I WAS BORN WITH MUGGLE BLOOD, NOT THAT IT REALLY MATTERS. SO YEAH, ARE WE DONE?"
SORRY, NOT QUITE. SO WHAT ARE AND AREN'T YOU INTO ?
"please.. you really had to bother getting me started? I do not like much, mainly drawing and charms… and this better not get out to anyone else! I really do not like people who push in line, or end their sentences with stupid sayings. Okay, so I am slightly old fashioned… heaven forbid I forgo drugs and alcohol in favour for staying sober and not knocking some girl up. That’s another thing I don’t like… people pissing me off…
To be fair however, I'm not the easiest person to get along with… so it's not like I'll openly go 'oh yeah hi I know you!' and we'll be friends. I'm not into that kind of thing. I keep to myself and that's how I've always been, I'm not about to change just because I'm going to some stupid wizarding school… Yeah ok, so I'm not into change either, big deal."
HOW ER... INTERESTING. EVER LOOKED INTO THE MIRROR OF ERISED ?
"only once. I was in some kind of art gallery, and one of my paintings had been set up on display. I guess it felt… kind of good, to hope that there’s more to me than just some bookworm… I want to be more. I want to stand in that gallery, or accept some check for something I did… or even just be credited for a creative use of charms… anything.
I would like to travel the world some more though. See the sights, listen to the music… just enjoy it. The world's huge, and it's not like it's going anywhere any time soon… I'd love to see the muggle and pureblood sides of it, get to know secrets and learn new things… it's not much but, it's something I'd like to do."
WHAT MAKES YOU SHAKE IN YOUR BOOTS ?
"waking up one morning, and discovering that I really can’t do magic. It’s stupid and irrational but half the time it feels like a dream. I’ll cast some spell no one my age should be able to, and then feel like an idiot when I can’t replicate it the next day. I’m scared to wake up and find out that none of it is real… or that there’s a spider in my bed… or someone’s dyed my hair pink… and um… uh, heights… hate heights, hate flying… bleh.
Flying and becoming a squib. They're the two major ones. Flying because, well… it's up high and who in their right mind wants to go 30 feet up in the air? Ok, so Quidditch players but are any of them sane?! Come on! Zooming around at high speeds, high up in the air… especially those insane Gryffindors… they all need their brains checked. A squib because, well… I like having my magic, I like being different. I don't adapt to change very well…"
EVEN YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME GOOD QUALITIES, RIGHT ?
"I guess so… I can be really focused, and get things done when I need to. I’m a quick thinker, and can rationalize bad situations to turn them good. And um… yeah… oh! I’m good at charms?
Charms and drawing, they're my two strengths and I'm happy to play to them. They're things I like doing, and I do them well… if I were bothered, I'd be better at Transfiguration, or History or even DADA, but… alas, I'd prefer to stick to what I enjoy and not what I could be good at.
I'm more academic, easily sifting through information and spelling quills to take notes for me. I'm skilled at casting multiple charms, like levitation and motion spells, and like to try new spells out even if they could blow up in my face… well, I don't know if that's stupid or intelligent really…"
AND IT'S QUITE OBVIOUS YOU HAVE YOUR BAD, HUH ?
"I’m not good at public speaking, or speaking my mind, and I’m rather timid… easily stepped on. I push people away and to put it simply, I just can’t be social. I can’t do potions to save my life, and I can’t take care of magical creatures either…
Apart from that, I have trouble making friends, and tend to snap at people when annoyed. I'm bad with sharp objects, harming either myself or others to the point that I've been banned from cutting up ingredients in Potions. It's not that I'm clumsy, I just have poor depth perception.
I'm also supposed to wear glasses, but don't because I'm a big enough bookworm without adding glasses to the whole image. I'm not confident, and I'm not athletic, in any way… I'm useless."
LET'S GET DIRTY. WHAT TURNS YOU ON ?
"seeing me for who I am, and not who I pretend to be. People who constantly chew gum is a major turn off though. Honesty’s a turn on… like, just not lying to me. I can’t stand lying… or being spiteful, it gets so old… um and awkward silences. They are the worst…
God so much turns me off. I don't look at things too positively do I? Bad smells, rotten eggs… eck, that's gross. And peanut butter! Who the hell invents a sticky paste that sticks to the roof of your mouth? Idiots, that's who. Chocolate too… I don't like chocolate. I don't know why, I just don't like the taste. Valentine's is another thing I just… don't get. Mainly because chocolate and flowers are involved, and I'm not huge on public displays of affection…
My favourite holiday has to be Christmas though. I like sitting by the fire with a good book and a mug of cocoa (and yes, that is totally different from chocolate thank you very much). I admire people who can get up and do all the things I can't, like singing or dancing, or even playing Quidditch (even if they are dumb for going up that high). So I observe things from afar… that's not so bad is it?"
DO YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY ?
"my family… well, there’s my dad Carlisle… I moved here with him so we’re pretty close. We don’t talk much any more since my mum died. I don’t talk to Sora much either, he’s my baby brother, and completely non magical. Well, we think he’s non-magical. He hasn’t levitated things or blown up light sockets like I used to… but in a nutshell, yeah I guess I love them, I just don’t talk to them.
Carlisle's 43 this year… and he's pretty supportive, taking care of me and Sora with only his job on a local muggle paper to keep us all going. My school supplies cost him a fortune, but he still bought them all brand new, and whenever I need new things he buys them new and sends them to me. He's a good father, but I'm afraid to disappoint him… that's why we don't speak too often.
My mother would've been 42 this year… and I miss her a lot. I remember her better than my brother, and I can't help but wonder if I get my magic from her. I don't know, she kept to herself, and yet was always there for Sora and I. I owe her so much, but can never repay her.
Sora? Oh, he's um… your typical little brother. Pesky and brattish. He's taken to copying me when I'm home. It's cute, but can get annoying. I guess it's just because he feels lonely most of the time, and I don't blame him. I'm never around, Dad's always working… he's growing up alone. I just hope he'll be alright…"
WHERE YA FROM, BY THE WAY ?
"Ah… everywhere? We moved around a lot, I’ve been to Japan, Thailand, America, Turkey, Ireland, Scotland and England… I wanted to go to Australia, but that was a major no… but I was born in Australia. Long amount of nothing to say I was born in the Land Down Under and now I’m living in Glascow, or was until dad said: Hey, let’s send ya to Hogwarts! …joy…
My favourite place to visit was probably Japan. The culture there was so radical, and yet not? America was cool too… all the hustle and bustle, but… America's not such a fun place any more. I lost my mum there, I'll never forgive the drunken idiot who did that… but um… Scotland I like. Scotland's a great place, filled with all different characters and lives. It's colourful there, which is something I enjoy, and the scenery is beautiful with all the castles scattered about. Kinda inspirational, don't you think?
Either way, I had to transfer here. The headmaster was nice enough to accept me, but I'm not exactly expecting the rest of the school to be as hospitable. It's sex, drugs, rock and roll... and that's just not for me."
THE DEMENTORS ARE HERE. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ?
"…mum. I-in the accident. I can still hear Sora screaming her name, and dad cursing as the truck slammed into our car… I was only 8… Sora was 3… Dad said that… that Sora and I lived because of accidental magic… but it didn’t save our mum. I can still see her sitting there… and then kinda, being thrown sidewards like a rag doll… there was so much blood, and so much screaming… please make it go away…
I can still remembering covering my brother's eyes so he wouldn't see. She was so broken, so twisted… like someone had come along and molded her out of red and cream coloured clay. Dad was unconscious too, and I remember that my head hurt so bad. Everything was red, so red… and I didn't even realise that I was crying. Sora passed out at one point… sirens were coming, and I remember begging for mum to wake up. I shook her shoulder, and her head lolled backward, spraying me with blood like the rest of the car. I could hear someone screaming, but I didn't realise until someone started dragging me out of the wreckage, that it was my voice I was hearing. My shrill cries of agony and despair."
BETTER GET UP A PATRONUS. WHAT ARE YOU REMEMBERING ?
"When dad took me to get my first wand… it was scary, and there were so many people but I was excited. This was my chance to prove that I’m more than just some mopey little kid. I can do everyone proud, and I will…
I know I can do better than this… what every one says I am. I'm more than what they see, and finally seeing my wand in that navy blue, satin lined box set everything in motion. I knew I could do better, I know I can do better. I will do better, I'll show them that I'm not just some pushed aside little kid."

This life was just falling to pieces.
Sinner was in a coma, Sookie had come to the asylum… THE ASYLUM!! Could things be any worse? Now he had to worry about a little toddler running about in a house filled with vampires… sadistic ones at that! Granted, she was a smart kid and could tell the difference between human and vampire, but that didn’t stop him from worrying any less. Taking the chance while she slept, Saber left Sookie a note promising to return and went out, almost desperate to just stop and sort things out.
The last month had been beyond stressful, not that it even showed on his porcelain like skin in the form of extra wrinkles… forever seventeen, and it was blissful. Clear blue eyes burned in the soft lights littering the streets. He could feel the occasional stare that rested upon his lithe frame as he moved effortlessly. His steps were incredibly light, soundless to anyone but an elder vampire, and achievable in the blackened boots he wore. Silver chains wrapped his legs, framing them and attaching to his hips. With every step he took, they sounded like soft bells in the still night, soothing to him at least. The black material made his pale hands look deathly white, and yet those slender fingers could easily snap a mortal’s neck with little hesitation.
Gentle breezes swept past, toying lightly with his snow white, jagged hair in addition to the untucked hem of his pale blue satin shirt. Those beautiful eyes of his were rimmed with black, and the tips of his lashes were permanently frozen white. None the less, they were his most stunning feature if not for the smirk that graced his lips every now and again, exposing needle sharp, ivory fangs. Saber’s fangs had lengthened slightly due to his agitated state, and unknowingly as he tensed his jaw, he pierced his lower lip. His chest rose and fell with a particularly heavy breath, and in a split second he glanced up from the cracked pavement below.
His glance permitted him to watch as a young human… maybe his real age, ducked down an alley… seemingly taking a short cut. Wanting to have a little fun, and feed the hunger that was stirring, Saber locked onto the boy’s mind and followed after him, calling mentally for him to stop. His younger looks worked to his advantage when he trailed down the alley, the human stopping to turn and grace his ‘call’.
“Didn’t see ya, what’re you after?” The human started, causing Saber to tilt his head slightly before smiling in a… kind way. In actual fact, there was something very creepy about Saber smiling to be kind. Barely moving his lips, he spoke again, his voice carrying easily through the space between them.
“I’ve gotten lost… on the way to uptown… I have a map with me, could you show me where to go?” Though a lie, it was easily told, and with his age as a vampire, making any human believe something was far too simple. The kind human nodded, needing little persuasion, the closer he got however the harder his heart was beating, and the sound alone was driving Saber near insane.
“Uptown yeah? I don’t have much time, my niece is alone at home… she’s only six, and well.. it is New York.” Quiet blue eyes stared at him and his kind smile, semi-wondering if killing this man was even worth it. Deciding not, Saber put on a look of shock before he mentally knocked the man out. With strange ease, Saber supported him as he collapsed, then simply leaned him against a nearby wall. Though under all other circumstances, he would’ve killed the victim, instead he merely put a small incision in the males wrist, pressed his lips against the wound and drank until he knew the man would be on the verge of needing a blood transfusion.
With how much he took however, Saber knew it would never be enough… such simple pleasures weren’t worth his time, and fishing a band-aid from his pocket, he stuck it over the male’s wrist. The wound would close soon, and the male would be none the wiser. Knowing he could do no more, Saber rose fluidly and walked away; his clear blue iris laced with crimson. He knew he needed more than that, and not wanting to return to the asylum, Saber continued on his small venture through the city.
Clear blue eyes blinked in confusion when a female human (eyes closed) had run straight into him. Uneasily, he gripped her shoulders and merely stared at her before leading her into a nearby alley, missing when a younger vampire exited the next alley down. Barely even audible, he growled and sunk his teeth into the woman’s throat, cutting short a horrid scream and draining her dry in the process. Disgusted, he wiped at his mouth and stormed off much faster than intended. She’d been drinking, and the alcohol did a number on his system… behind him however, the shadows of the building ate away at her body, transporting elsewhere.
Blue irises were slowly melting into a sickening combination of kingfisher blue and crimson red, caused only by his massive amount of feeding, the count so far, reaching 5 humans… and a dog that attacked him four streets over. He really couldn’t control himself near frenzy. The Crypt? He mused, watching with estranged curiosity as a woman, no… vampire, in a bright yellow dress wandered over to some human. Intrigued, Saber wandered into the Crypt, ignoring the few stares he got from various humans. He was as ethereal to them as any other vampire after all. A light smirk graced his lips, luckily not exposing his fangs. This girl was good, whoever she was… and yet she seemed completely empty, like she didn’t accept it.
Not really all that bothered, Saber easily crossed the grounds, being stopped more than once by some hapless female or another. The attention was merely boring, and yet… in the short space he managed to ‘borrow’ a few dollars here and there. One woman however, seemed completely fixated, like some lost puppy and honestly… he wanted nothing more than to snap her pretty little neck. She wore too much make-up, her voice was verging on piercing and was under the impression that someone of her status could honestly win him over. Though probably unnoticed by her, Saber could feel his fangs lengthen slightly. He was in no mood for this bullshit…
