((Quick post, I have to get it out of my system . . .))
Cynthia was excited that Sirius was showing some interest in what she was saying. Did this mean that he was possibly a fan of punk as well? Not everyone kept up with the movement, especially since it had no effect on the wizarding world. Cynthia followed it the best she could, which wasn't hard considering her mum was muggle. Her parents wanted her to see both worlds, so they exposed her to as many muggle customs as they did wizarding customs. They weren't so keen on her becoming involved with anything punk, since it was seen as very rebellious to most adults, but they didn't push her too hard about it in an effort to keep her close to them.
"Well yeah, I've been to quite a few actually . . had to sneak off as well, eventually my parents caught on and I haven't been to one in a - "
Cynthia was cut off mid-sentence when Sirius realized that he had to meet his parents at the Leaky Cauldron. Fortunately for Cynthia, she wasn't obliged to meet her father anywhere. The older she got, the more space they gave her, even if after the summer they hadn't felt that they could completely trust her anymore. Still, she was craving some ice cream and thinking that it might be time that she headed off as well. She waited to mention anything about it, hoping to not appear as rude in front of Remus.
Even though her mind started to wander off, she still caught the tail end of what Sirius had been saying to her. Something about continuing their conversation when they got to Hogwarts. . .was that really it? She beamed at the thought of a chance to actually have a one on one conversation with him. It didn't even occur to her that they may or may not actually get the chance to continue it, or that he might not even remember that he had once wanted to. Cynthia felt incredibly happy, like something in the day had gone right. Who would have thought that Sirius would share one of her interests? Certainly not Cynthia!
"Yeah! Cool . . we'll definitely have to talk about it . . . "
Sirius had turned to Remus to say his goodbyes to him and Cynthia smiled at boys. Their friendship seemed so strange at times and at others it seemed so genuine. It was obvious that they all would do anything for one another, so despite whatever teasing Sirius dished out to Remus they would still be friends. Cynthia sighed and looked over at Remus, she wasn't even sure what time it was but it felt like it had been a long day.
((That was total crap, oh well! I posted!))
